It's cold outside

Today was another cold, rainy day, Brush Creek was lined with iced garbage cans and full of silence today. It was 30 degrees and everyone was enjoying the day indoors. I spent the day in my pj's and had the crock pot going with warm soup for dinner.



In reality, I kind of enjoy this weather. It's moody and quiet and I love the way the fog/mist/clouds hand over trees. In fact, I took a drive to enjoy the scenery and stopped by Starbucks to get a salted carmel signature hot chocolate (HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!) to really set my cold weather "mood".
We lit the fireplace while we enjoyed our hot chicken corn chowder and freash french bread. It was a perfect winter day.

PS yes I was the nut taking pictures of the icicles today!
